Dining Out for Life is the STOP AIDS Project's biggest annual fundraiser and is taking place on Thur., Apr. 24, 2008. Last year, Stop AIDS raised over $210,000 thanks to the support of the restaurants, sponsors, and the volunteer ambassadors.

The Cubs Club Of California hosted a fund raiser: "A Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" on Sat., Dec. 9, from 3-8pm at the Lonestar.

The Stop AIDS Project had their year-end fund-raising drive.

On Sun., Dec. 3, the 10th Annual Holiday Leather Brunch takes place at El Rio (3158 Mission St).

On Fri., Dec. 1, the Aluminum Forest party took place benefiting Magnet. Over $20,000 was raised.

On Wed., Nov. 15, Dine Around happened again to benefit the AIDS Emergency Fund. Dinner at any of 25 restaurants resulted in 25% of the food and beverage check being donated.

On Oct. 27, The Stop AIDS Project hosted Queens are Wild. Buddies underwrote the costs of printing all the programs.

On Wed., Oct. 11, Project Inform launched a raffle at their 2006 signature annual gala – Evening of Hope.

On Mon., Oct. 16, Carlton Paul, Joe Gallagher and others hosted a meeting to "Take Back the Castro."

On Sat., Oct. 14, from 3 to 7pm, at the Lone Star Saloon, was the Annual Mr. Lone Star Contest. This event benefited The Stop AIDS Project. Produced by John Caldera, International Mr. Bear 1992.

On Sat., Oct. 14, Magnet hosted an event at the Phoenix Hotel. It was a Saturday t-dance from 2-5pm with Dimitris Mykonos from 92.7 spinning. Entertainment was provided by the SF Tsunamis, who did synchronized swimming.

On the weekend of June 20, it was time for some cowboys! The 12th Annual Golden Gate State Rodeo took place just south of San Francisco.

On Sun., June 15, the beverage bust at the Eagle was the always fun annual Father's Day event by the SF Leather Daddies. The beneficiary was New Leaf Services, Outreach to Elders.  

On Tue., June 10, the AIDS Emergency Fund celebrated their 21st year of service with Casino Royale 21. AEF events are always fun.

On June 8-14, the AIDS/LifeCycle 2 happens. SF to LA. 7 days. 585 miles. 

On Friday, May 30, 9pm - 1am, a new club, the Leather Canine Club is having a "Dogs Night Out" at the Loading Dock. Woof. 

On May 22-26, the International Mr. Leather contest is taking place in Chicago. It was a great event...the 25th anniversary of IML!

On Sunday, May 25, the Phoenix Uniform Club is hosting the beverage bust at the Eagle.  

On May 14 and Apr. 23, the guys from the Leather Levi Weekend stopped by the club to recruit attendees for their weekend.

On Wed., May 7, from 6-8pm, there was a meeting on Crystal Meth in the gay community.

April was the castroguys Spring Cleaning campaign. Guys getting screened for HIV/STDs got free stuff...including a pass to Blow Buddies.

Throughout the first part of 2003, the South of Market Bare Chest Calendar contests ran at the Powerhouse, hosted by Mr. Marcus. The beneficiaries are the AEF and PRC.  

On Apr. 27, the Golden Gate Men's Chorus hosted and benefited from the Beverage Benefit at the Eagle Tavern

Buddies hosted the "Meet and Greet Cocktail Reception" at the American Brotherhood Weekend in Washington, DC (April 25-27, 2003). Portion of proceeds goes to Scarlet's Foundation. It was a California sweep.

On Apr. 25, a fundraiser at the DC Eagle in conjunction with American Brotherhood Weekend, aptly named Eagle Wings went on to benefit Brother Help Thyself and the National AIDS Minority Council

On Apr. 20, SF Leather Daddy XX, Tony Koester hosted an Easter Basket auction for the Stop AIDS Project at Daddy's. RESULT: $3,000 was raised. 

On Wed., Apr. 2, there was a special party with Lance Brittain, Mr. Gay San Francisco 2003 and the San Francisco Boys of Leather. The event was in conjunction with the Imperial Court of San Francisco, Inc. and benefited BAY Positives.

On Feb. 7-9, 2003, in Kansas City, Scott and others hosted the Heart of America Leather Contest

On Feb. 7, SF Leather Daddy XX, Tony Koester hosted a birthday party for Alan Selby "An Evening with Daddy" 8-11pm at Atelier Gallery. At Daddy Alan's  donations were made to the AEF in lieu of gifts. 

On Feb. 1, dave shorey, N. Cal. Leatherboy did a fund raiser for Breaking Barriers and the LeatherSir/boy Travel fund at the Bolt in Sacramento. RESULTS: over $1,000 was raised and it was a great event with guys visiting from all over Northern California. 

Jan. 31 was the Mr. Texas Leather Contest. RESULTS: Daddy Ken's basket raised $900 and he's the new Mr. Texas Leather.

Jan. 24-26, the Cleveland Leather Annual Weekend took place. RESULTS: $15,000 was raised. 

Mama Sandy Reinhart and her leather family has an on-going series of fund raisers for various causes. Buddies contributes.

On Sat., Jan. 18, Rich "RTB" Trevino (American Leatherman 2002) did an Adopt-a-Boy benefit for the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom at Mid-Atlantic Leather in Washington, DC. Buddies was one of the three primary sponsors. RESULTS: OVER $4000 raised.

On Sun., Jan. 5, Daddy Doug and boy scott and a cast of other hot guys hosted an auction of the 2003 Bare Chest Calendar men at the Eagle Tavern's world-famous Sunday afternoon beverage bust.  'Twas fun.

The Online Policy Group which does a number of great things including providing queernet groups and free hosting/etc. for LGBT groups raises funds periodically. Stop by and find out about them and their projects.

On Wed., Dec. 18, the Leathermen's Discussion Group held their annual holiday party. We're very happy to be their host location. More.

On Sun., Dec. 15, Lance Brittain (Mr. Gay San Francisco 2003) hosted the 5th Annual Holiday Leather Brunch & Community Service Awards at Harvey's SOMA. 

On Sat., Dec. 7, Alameda County Leather Corps hosted "Santa's Slave Action." 

On Sat., Dec. 7, the guys at The Bolt in Sacremento and the Bare Chest Calendar studs combined efforts for a fundraiser. 

On Sat, Nov. 23, Daddy Doug held his 40th Birthday celebration at The Edge. 

On Wed., Nov. 20, the AIDS Emergency Fund had their 20th Anniversary Gala. Buddies was there supporting the AEF as a Patron. 'Twas fun.

On Oct. 31-Nov. 3, Interpride 2002 took place in SF. This was the 20th annual International Association of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Pride organizers conference. Over 250 delegates from around the world will gather in San Francisco to network and create change. 

On Oct. 18-20, the Sundance Association had their annual Sundance Stompede, a fund-raiser that's a lot of fun, as well. Over $5,000 was raised. 

Eric Partridge, the current Northern California LeatherSIR 2002, headed out for the  International Competition in Florida.  We hear the event went very well.

From Sept. 30 to Oct. 7, it was Leather Week at the Russian River Eagle. 

On Oct. 3-6, Mr. San Francisco Bear contest took place at the Lone Star. 

On Oct. 5, Shanti is having the Ride for Life from San Francisco to the Russian River. 

On Sept. 27, SF Roll Call 2002 took place. RESULTS: $2500 raised for Project Open Hand.    

On Sept. 22, Troy of the SOMA Bare Chest Calendar was auctioned off with a basket of goods (themed around Folsom Street Fair). Support the great causes of PRC and AEF

At 1pm on Sept. 22, Leatherwalk 2002  took place (starting from Daddy's Bar in the Castro).

Mid-Atlantic LeatherSIR 2002 is holding a series of fundraisers for the NCSF and other  charities.

On Sept. 14 Troy of the South of Market Bare Chest Calendar did a fund-raiser at the Gauntlet II in LA. 

CHC's Inferno  happened again in early September...a very successful event.

On August 9-11, Leather/Levi Weekend II took place at Saratoga Sprints. 

Leathermen's Discussion Group Moves to Blow Buddies! August 6, 2002.

As you may have read, the Positive Resource Center was in a crunch. A series of fundraisers was held and  The fund raisers included a weekly beer/soda bust at Loading Dock.

On July 12-13, the Alameda County Leather Corps held their 11th annual Mr. and Ms. Alameda County Leather Title Contest and Auction. 

The Sisters and Daddies combined forces in a fundraiser on June 16. The "Daddy's Day" event at the Eagle Tavern was fun as always. 

Volunteers at Sundance Saloon built a new floor at their new venue on June 9-10.

There was a fundraiser for the  Stop AIDS Project  April 24.  Great work to Steve Gibson and all the folks at Stop AIDS.

There was a fundraiser for the  Positive Resource Center at Mr. SF Leather 2002 March 10.

Mr. Northern Cal. Drummerboy 2001 did a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Emergency Fund on March 10.

Mr. San Francisco Leather 2002 was March 8th.

Feb. 15-18 2002 was the International Bear Rendezvous in SF. The special play party at Buddies was a tremendous success!

Mr. Hayes Valley Leather was Feb. 17. There was a leather and dinner-date auction as well as raffles and floggings. All Flogging/Auction/Raffle proceeds benefited Positive Resource Center and the AIDS Emergency Fund

On Feb. 16, the Inter-Club Fund hosted their annual Motorcycle Awards.  Congrats to the winners!
